After doing careful research about tanning places near me, I decided to visit VIP today. It’s been YEARS since I’ve been tanning, and Rachel (who was at the front desk) was so helpful! She helped me decide on the right membership for me, recommended a tanning lotion, and gave her professional opinion on how long I should go in the stand up tanning bed. I’m VERY fair skinned, and her recommendation of 5 minutes was perfect! Despite it getting super busy when I got there, she handled everything with professionalism. I even witnessed a customer get an attitude with her (for NO reason besides having to wait) and she was so sweet and apologetic to them. Being in customer service myself, i know how tough it is to keep your cool under pressure, so she deserves major props for dealing with that!! :) also the place was super clean, so I’ll definitely be a frequent customer and recommend VIP to anyone looking for a place to tan!

Today… I would like to share! I’ve been coming to Emilia’s Spa for a little over 2 years now. You are greeted instantly upon arrival! This is a spa, but the conversations in between visits are more so hospitality. I say that to say, each employee, along with Emilia are very personable. I chit chat I think a bit too much lol, but they engage, and I love that! From how clean the salon is, to how well put together the vibe is. It’s a different vibe each time. Their products, along with the tanning beds are top notch! I come in regular, and leave with a beautiful glow! Everytime! Please join here, I promise you will love it!

VIP tanning has been by far my favorite place to tan. Their products are amazing, the tanning booths are always clean, and I always get great color with no burning. The staff is really friendly. if you have any questions or concerns, John is very helpful, and always recommends what he knows I would get great results with for tanning.
I LOVE vip tanning. I’ve been going here for years and the staff and service is amazing! There’s great deals on all the products and I can always count on Emilia for the best recommendations on lotion and skincare!! I also got my teeth UV whitened and the process went super smooth. I was always attended to and the ambience of the salon I is completely relaxing. It feels like family here and I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else!

This IS THE BEST tanning salon in all of Troy and metro Detroit!!! Which is why my family & I have been tanning here for years! The staff and owners are welcoming & personable when entering and leaving. They keep us updated with our sessions and inform us of their specials. The equipment is always in good working order, and the salon is “very” clean! They also offer facials, & much more treatments. VIP is extremely well stocked with all the latest tanning lotions and skin care products. Truly … VIP!!

I live 2 minutes away from a tanning salon and decide to drive 20 minutes to come here because Emilia and the girls never disappoint. By far the best service and they never fail to take care of you. I came here in a panic because my wedding was two days away and the spray tan appointment I had booked at another business did not follow through. I called to see if VIP could help me out last minute and Lauren was phenomenal and SO helpful. I’m new to VIP but not to tanning and all I can say is wow! I came into VIP only wanting a single visit to try them out but ended up with an unlimited monthly package. How could I not at their amazing prices?! They have multiple levels of high pressure beds and stand-ups as well as an array of lotions (at a discounted price for members 😊). While I waited for my husband to finish tanning I was able to check out their huge selection of skin care and ask about the services they offer outside of tanning. The customer service is impeccable and everyone I’ve talked to there is crazy friendly and knowledgeable. If you’re looking for a new place to tan you need to check out VIP tanning!!

I normally don't go to tanning salons, but since I had a trip to Mexico, I thought I'd get my paley white skin started with a base tan. I figured I'd at least get a burn since I'm fair skinned, and was happy to find out the high pressure stand up and bed gave me a nice tan with little to no burning! Will def come back again. I have been using this salon for tanning since 2007, when I moved to this area. John and Emilia own the business. The beds and stand ups always are clean with new bulbs. The salon is always clean. John and Emilia have a well trained staff who are friendly and knowledgeable in all aspects of the business, from beds to lotions to Emilia’s skincare products, etc. Those who aren’t don’t stay around long. Of all the kids over the years, I have to give extra praise to Sularda. This young lady always has a smile on her face and patiently takes the time to explain the different products to me. Her knowledge is remarkable. She definitely deserves a raise (wink😉wink).

This salon is Amazing!! I have been tanning at a different high-end salon for years and this salon is on a different level. I am paying the same amount I did at the other salon but getting a way better tan! My first tan I could feel the difference in the quality bulbs I was getting.
